New Delhi: Moments before the official announcement of Karnataka assembly polls day, Amit Malviya, head of BJP’s IT cell revealed the date May 12 on Twitter. Following the revelation, huge controversy and speculations about news leak erupted.
The Congress did not wait for minutes before slamming BJP for revealing the date even before the formal announcement by the Election Commission. The party demanded stern action against BJP and FIR registration against its IT cell head. It soon emerged that the social media in-charge of Karnataka Congress had put a similar tweet revealing the dates— 15 minutes before the announcement made by the EC. The Election Commission has taken this matter seriously promised legal action
With the announcement of Poll dates and result dates, 12th and 15th May, accusation and allegation game are going to heat up. Karnataka is a crucial state for not only the Congress but also for the BJP.
