Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal are all set to heat up the political climate in the national capital on Wednesday with their mega roadshows.
Delhi will witness a power-packed campaigning on Wednesday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal scheduled to lead roadshows ahead of the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Elections.
PM Modi will address a mega poll rally at the Ramleela Ground today in support of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates pitched for the seven Lok Sabha seats of the national capital.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also set to storm the national capital by participating in two roadshows today in the North East Delhi and South Delhi parliamentary seats, where the Congress party has fielded Sheila Dikshit and Vijender Singh, respectively. She will start her campaign from Brahmpuri Pulia and end at Yamuna Vihar DTC bus depot. The second road show will commence at Valmiki Marg and end at Mehroli Badarpur Road.
Hours before her roadshow, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said “She (Priyanka Gandhi) is wasting her time, why doesn’t she campaign in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh? She’s doing rallies in UP against the SP-BSP, she’s doing rallies in Delhi against AAP. Both brother and sister aren’t going to those places where there’s a direct fight with the BJP.” AAP chief will also be seen campaigning in a roadshow from Madanpura Chowk till Chander Vihar.
While Priyanka Gandhi will hold two road shows in Delhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be in Madhya Pradesh to attend public meetings scheduled in Bhind, Morena, and Gwalior. BSP leader Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will hold a joint rally in Azamgarh today.
Polling for the seven Lok Sabha seats of Delhi will be held on May 12 and the results will be announced on May 23.
