Ahead of the 2019 General Elections, All India Congress Committee’s newly appointed General Secretary for Eastern UP, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held talks with party President, Rahul Gandhi. She also visited slum dwellers at the Aurangzeb Road housing cluster in New Delhi

Newly appointed AICC General Secretary for Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi held a two-hour session with Indian National Congress President, Rahul Gandhi and the AICC GS for Western Uttar Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia to discuss the strategy for Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming 2019 General Elections.

This was followed by her first public appearance on Tuesday after stepping into active politics in mid-January. During the appearance, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited slum dwellers in Delhi’s Aurangzeb Road housing cluster. Reportedly, she has been providing aid to a young disabled boy named Ashish, who lives in the area. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was recently assigned a new office space in the Indian National Congress headquarters. She is in charge of more than 50% of the 80 seats given to Uttar Pradesh in the lower house of the Indian Parliament in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
