India’s Vice President visits Botswana; to visit Zimbabwe and Malawi next

On his visit to Botswana, the Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu invited companies in Botswana to invest in India. Speaking on the occasion of ‘Global Expo Botswana 2018’, the Vice President shed light on the various achievements of India since 2014. He added that India was among the most lucrative destinations for FDI.

The Vice President will be visiting Zimbabwe next, where he will meet the Foreign Minister and lay the groundwork for Chancery project. His visit will also pave the way for the signing of various MoUs and the announcement of LoC projects. The Vice President’s visit to the Republic of Malawi is scheduled for November 4 – 5. He is expected to inaugurate Business Incubation Center and India-Africa Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development. He will also be unveiling a Gandhi Bust while on his visit.

On his visit to the three African countries, the Vice President of India will be accompanied by a delegation comprising Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar, two Members of Parliament and Senior Officers of the Government of India.
