Chinese President Xi Jinping’s two-day visit to North Korea has garnered worldwide attention as it will be the first time that any Chinese leader will be visiting the country of North Korea in the last 14 years. It is Mr. Xi’s first official visit to North Korea since acquiring power in 2012.

Chinese Government’s main aim is the maintenance of political, economic and geopolitical stability with North Korea.

 There have been some stalled meets in the past year due to North Korea’s rigorous nuclear programs which were not on accordance with Chinese guidelines.

Leaders reunite is like a huge bilateral boost for Mr. Kim, who has been struggling to maintain momentum after a political standoff and stalled diplomatic activity over the course of 2018.

Although, China and North Korea have both been communist allies in the aftermath of the Cold War in the 1970s and have remained close allies in the world forum.

The official Chinese Daily Newspaper said on Wednesday that the visit would allow the two leaders to “agree on major issues and concretize co-operation projects”.
