New Delhi: Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan is in full mood to turn his dream of making a magnum opus based on legendary tales of The Mahabharata into reality. If the latest buzz is to believe then billionaire Industrialist Mukesh Ambani has given wings to Aamir’s dream.
According to a report published in Mid-Day India’s richest men is all set to co-produce the epic tale. The media enterprises of Reliance group have recently entered into a new venture of investing in entertainment companies like Eros and Balaji Telefilms. No official statement has been made yet from either side. The voices from the industry have started making noise about the grand scale on which movie is going to unfold.
Rumors are flying that Three Idiot star is planning to take the Mahabharata on the tread of ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. If true, it will be the most expensive movie with the budget of 1000 cr.
These rumors are a delight for all those souls, who have been a fan of BR. Chopra’s Mahabharata.
Aamir had openly talked about his desire to play the role of Krishnan or Karna if he gets cast in Mahabharata. Aamir had told in an interview, “My dream is to re-alive Mahabharata on celluloid but I am afraid of starting the project because it will take years of my life and I have not even taken a single step in that direction. Maybe I will achieve this one day.”
Keeping the fact in mind, that Aamir is not working currently on any movie except Thugs of Hindostan, backs the buzz in the town. Interestingly, a few months back, Fatima Sana Khan, his Dangal co-star posted about Mahabharata on Instagram. But following speculations of her role in the film, she apparently removed it from Instagram.
As of now, all we can do is keep guessing and wait for the official confirmation.
