China Announces Additional $30 Million Grant for WHO

China on April 23 announced an additional grant of $30 million for the World Health Organization after Beijing expressed “serious concerns” over US President Donald Trump’s decision to freeze all funding for the international public health agency based on their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

China had previously provided WHO with $20 million amid the global health crisis and the latest funds will act as an additional grant, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang announced.
