In the framework of his official visit to Estonia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held high-level talks with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal aimed at deepening bilateral relations and promoting regional stability. The two leaders first convened in a private meeting, followed by expanded discussions involving their respective delegations. According to a statement released by the Armenian Prime Minister’s office, Prime Minister Michal extended a warm welcome to his Armenian counterpart, emphasizing that the visit marked a significant step forward in the development of multilateral cooperation between the two nations.
Highlighting Estonia’s readiness to enhance bilateral trade and economic collaboration, Michal expressed his government’s commitment to initiating joint programs across various sectors. He also commended Armenia’s ongoing reform agenda and affirmed Estonia’s support for its successful implementation. Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked Estonia for its hospitality and stressed that Armenian-Estonian relations, grounded in shared democratic values and mutual interests, continue to evolve both bilaterally and within the broader Armenia-EU partnership. He reaffirmed Armenia’s willingness to deepen cooperation with Estonia across all fields of mutual interest and expressed gratitude for Estonia’s ongoing support for democratic institution-building in Armenia.
Both sides underlined the importance of expanding trade and economic ties, encouraging collaboration between business communities, and organizing business forums to foster commercial exchange.
The meeting also addressed Armenia’s relations with the European Union, including discussions on the Visa Liberalization Action Plan and the adoption of digital governance tools in public administration. On the topic of regional security, the two Prime Ministers exchanged views on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. Prime Minister Pashinyan reiterated his government’s commitment to a peace agenda and expressed hope for the signing of the previously negotiated peace agreement. In response, Prime Minister Michal welcomed Armenia’s efforts and stated that a finalized agreement would pave the way for long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
The day concluded with an official dinner hosted in honour of Prime Minister Pashinyan by the Estonian Prime Minister, symbolizing the friendly and growing partnership between Armenia and Estonia.
