Celebrating 70th Anniversary of Independence of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka under the theme ‘One Nation’, I present to everyone this Coffee Table Book to share Sri Lanka’s national pride and poignant memories of home together with us.
The holiday primarily celebrates Sri Lanka’s independence from British rule on 4 February 1948, and is also a day to remember Sri Lanka’s struggle for independence from various regimes.
Since Independence the country has achieved and progressed in social, economy, political and human development is laudable. Government of Sri Lanka is indeed committed and has consistently focused on creating the social and political climate required to develop the nation.
The year 2018 has been declared as the “National Food Production Year” to reach the goal of food security in the nation. We are deeply obliged to the Hon. State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Colombo Mr. Vasantha Senanayake for his support to this project. Our profile on the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs is a must read.
