President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Tuesday with Her Excellency Arpine Sargsyan, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi on 30th September 2025. The meeting underscored the growing partnership between the two nations and their mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple fields. The meeting was attended by several Sheikhs and senior Emirati officials.
During the discussions, Sheikh Mohamed and Minister Sargsyan explored opportunities to expand joint initiatives in areas of shared interest, emphasising the importance of advancing development and prosperity for both peoples. The meeting reflected the UAE’s broader vision of building constructive international partnerships founded on mutual respect and common aspirations.
Her Excellency conveyed to Sheikh Mohamed the greetings of Armenian President His Excellency Vahagn Khachaturyan, who expressed his best wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and stability. In turn, Sheikh Mohamed extended his greetings to the Armenian leader and offered his wishes for the continued well-being and prosperity of the Armenian people. Minister Sargsyan reaffirmed her country’s keen interest in deepening relations with the UAE, stressing that stronger bilateral cooperation would contribute not only to the advancement of both nations but also to the wider region. She highlighted Armenia’s readiness to engage in expanded dialogue and practical collaboration with Abu Dhabi in key areas such as governance, trade, and cultural exchange.
The meeting also reviewed the current state of UAE-Armenia relations, which have steadily grown in recent years. Diplomatic engagement between the two countries has intensified, marked by exchanges of official visits and increasing dialogue at the ministerial and parliamentary levels. Both sides have identified potential for cooperation in diverse sectors including technology, renewable energy, investment, and tourism, in addition to closer collaboration in internal affairs and governance. Observers note that relations between Abu Dhabi and Yerevan have gained momentum amid the UAE’s continued role as a hub for international cooperation and Armenia’s efforts to strengthen its partnerships in the Gulf region. The two countries have also engaged in dialogue on cultural diplomacy, reflecting a shared recognition of the value of people-to-people connections in supporting sustainable ties.
The talks at Qasr Al Bahr concluded with an affirmation from both sides of their commitment to continue building on the foundations of friendship and cooperation, with the aim of creating new opportunities that serve the long-term interests of both nations.
