In a much anticipated event, the 82nd Edition of the Golden Globes Awards held at Beverly Hills, California gathers the excellence in international television and films. As one of the most celebrated events in Hollywood, the ceremony honoured the most outstanding performances and film productions in the year 2024, thereby bringing a diverse audience of industry icons and rising talents. With memorable speeches and unique storytelling, the 2025 Golden Globes Awards only showcased the artistry and creativity that defines the global entertainment landscape. The awards were first presented in January 1944 at the 20th Century Fox.

The nominations for the 82nd Golden Globes were announced on December 9 2024 with the ballots being sent to voters on December 13, 2024. Thereafter, the ballots were due on 1st January 2025, with the ceremony taking place on January 5, 2025. The Golden Globes recognises achievements in 27 categories; 14 in motion pictures, 13 in television, with January 10, 2023 marking the 80th Edition of the coveted awards. This year’s Edition was hosted by noted comedian Nikki Glaser, marking the first time a woman is solo-hosting the show.

From the Indian side, double nominations were received for Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light in the Non-English feature award category. The awards streamed on Lionsgate Play in India.

  • Best Motion Picture- Animated: Flow
  • Best Motion Picture- Non-English Language: Emilia Perez
  • Best Director- Motion Picture: Brady Corbet The Brutalist
  • Best Television Series- Drama: Shogun
  • Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series- Drama: Anna Sawai Shogun
  • Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series- Drama: Hiroyuki Sanada Shogun
  • Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy: Demi Moore The Substance
  • Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy: Sebastian Stan A Different Man
