National Conference (NC) Anantnag MP Hasnain Masoodi says he looks forward to peaceful resolving of the political and militant crisis in Jammu and Kashmir

In a recent interview to a national daily, Hasnain Masoodi, Member of Parliament (MP) from Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district has stressed upon resolving the political crisis in J&K as soon as possible.

He also stressed on the need to focus on the upliftment of youth in the country in the wake of the rising militancy which has gripped the state, especially in Masoodi’s constituency, Anantnag.

Hasnain Masoodi, aged 65 has been a former judge of the Jammu and Kashmir high court.

Masoodi defeated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti by close to 10,000 votes in 2019 General Elections which saw one of the lowest turnouts in Anantnag district at 8.31% of one million registered voters.

“I will push very hard for a resolution of the Kashmir problem. We need an ‘Operation All Out’ to address the alienation. We need to address the problems at the earliest”, Masoodi said in the interview.
