NORTH KOREA GREETS XI JINPING WITH ‘I LOVE YOU, CHINA’ MESSAGE

Xi Jingping was given a stellar welcome by North Korea

A stellar welcome was laid out to Chinese President Xi Jinping who is on a historic two-day visit to North Korea, the first in 14 years by a Chinese leader.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in North Korea for a two-day visit on 20 June 2019 in the first ever North Korea visit by a Chinese President in around 14 years.

Xi Jinping was greeted in North Korea with a stellar welcome ceremony which included a performance of the song “I love you, China” and thousands of people holding up placards forming a picture of Xi’s face and the Chinese flag.

In officially released photo and video footage by KNCA (Korean Central News Agency), the state news agency of North Korea; Mass Games performances titled ‘Undefeated Socialism’ were specially prepared for the Chinese goodwill visit and included songs such as ‘Without the Communist Party, there is no new China’ and ‘I love you, China’.

Another photo released by KCNA showed thousands of people holding placards to form a giant picture of Xi’s face and the Chinese flag at the mass gymnastics and art performances.

North Korea and China share a historic communist bond have remained close allies despite many differences on the political front.  China has remained North Korea’s main strategic partner in contrast to diplomatic and political standoff with the United States. The two leaders pledged unison over various issues and incorporate greater communication and partnership between the two countries.
