Facebook banned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son, Yair Netanyahu for 24-hours. The ban came soon after the social media giant deleted an offensive post about the Muslim community posted by the PM’s son.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son, Yair Netanyahu referred to Facebook as “tough police”, reposting content that was previously removed by the social media site. This was followed by Facebook banning Yair Netanyahu for 24-hours.

On Sunday, the PM’s son criticised the social media giant for removing his post from last week, which called for “avenging the deaths” of Israeli soldiers shot by Palestinian gunmen. Yair Netanyahu posted screenshots of the removed content that violated Facebook’s community standards.

The post said Yair Netanyahu would “prefer” if “All the Muslims leave the land of Israel.”
