US President Donald Trump has announced that the date and place for North Korean Summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has been set, but did not elaborate further. According to the White House, the meet could take place in the coming few weeks.

The agenda of the meet will be to push North Korea to give up nuclear weapons. The US government is also investigating the arrest of three Americans who have been relocated from a labour camp to a hotel near Pyongyang, and are expected to be released before the summit.

The top choices for the summit are DMZ (De-militarized Zone) between North and South Korea, and Singapore. The Peace House at the DMZ had been the location for the meeting between North Korean President Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

The White House in Washington D.C. also confirmed U.S. President Trump’s meeting with South Korean President on May 22, aimed at demonstrating allied unity before the summit.

Trump told the National Rifle Association at its annual convention in Dallas that he has toned down his rhetoric after labelling Mr. Kim “Little Rocket Man” last year and threatening him with “fire and fury”.

“I won’t use that rhetoric now. Now, I’m trying to calm down a little bit,” he said.
